Colombia Marcha por la Paz 2011

"No more war, No more kidnapping, no more violence! "

Miles de colombianos hoy se reunieron en las calles de todo el país para marchar contra las FARC, cuya actividad violenta ha estado afectando a nuestro pais por mas de 50 años. Marchamos para exigir el fin del secuestro y la liberación de todos los secuestrados. Algunos, llevan en cautiverio más de 10 años.

Today thousands of Colombians gathered in the streets across the country to march against the FARC, whose violent activity has been affecting our country for over 50 years. We march to demand an end to the kidnapping and plead for the release of all hostages. Some have been in captivity for over 10 years.

Christmas Party Invitation

This invite was designed for the Christmas Party of the Colombian Consulate in London. For Emilia

A very talented artist called Emilia suggested that I should draw a cow dancing ballet. She was kind enough to send me some guidelines of how she should look like. I especially love her red tutu! 

 

And so, following Emilia's helpful advice, I have drawn our ballet dancing cow:

My good friend Mez (who is also a talented children's writer) suggested we should call her Miranda. Thank you for the advice Emilia, hopefully we will find a story for her very soon! Hope you like Miranda :)

Ice Cream Poster

So...there is a song I used to listen to when I was little about a penguin called Sammy, who one day decides to travel accross the world so he can sell ice cream to the animals of the jungle. The song has somehow reappeared in my head lately and I have found myself drawing bits of it in my sketchbook. Out of these drawings came this poster.  I'm hoping to make the whole song one day. In the meantime here's Elephant and his giant ice cream : )
